Line of mostly native trees and shrubs (.Primus virginiana,
Quercus rubra, Tilia americana, Betula populifolia, Spiraea
alba, Zanthoxylum americanum) along edge of river, and
partly shaded bank of river (Asclepias incarnata, Verbena
hastata).
Flowers light pink-purple. Adult Danaus plexippus butterfly
visiting flowers and larva feeding on the plant.
