In one-year fallow field on south side of Deal
Creek; on alluvial terrace. Site #26 (Lat.
34°10,50n; Long. 82°41l00"), about 3 miles south-
west of town of Lowndesville, S. C., and about
1.5 miles east of the Savannah River. Below the
475-ft. contour (full pool for proposed Russell
Lake). Area to be impounded in mid-1980*s.
