In cut-over area on floodplain along the Savannah
River. Site #5 (Lat. 34°02,55,|| Long. 82°36’39"),
ca. 2.5 miles south of the S. C. 72 bridge over the
Savannah River. Below the 475-ft. contour (full
pool for proposed Russell Lake). Area to be
impounded in the mid-1980fs by U. S. Army Corps
of Engineers.
