Benton Co.: Taylor Township (North part) T86N R10W Sec 32 N2 SW4 NW4 Site is approximately 4 miles northwest of the town of Vinton. A pasture east of the Cedar River and south of a small, intermittent stream. Plants occurred in moist sand on the upper portion of a north- facing slope and south of the slope. The slope is partially covered with Juniperus virginiana. The site is in the watershed of the Cedar River and on the Iowan Surface. 300+ ramets were found on the upper portion of the north-facing slope. Here E. pratense was associated with Achillea millefolium, Equisetum arvense, Fragaria virginiana, Onoclea sensibilis, Sisyrinchium campestre and Taraxacum officinale. Another 500+ ramets occurred south of the slope. This is the first known collection of £, pratense from the county. Mark J.
