    Sandstone rock houses along steep SW-facing slopes with mixed hardwood (Acer accharum, Asimina, Celtis, Betula lenta, Fagus, Ilex opaca, Lireodendron, Magnolia macrophylla, Quercus prinus, Symplocos, Tilia)- conifers (pinus taeda, Tsuga canadensis). corticolous on Betula lenta.
