At edge of one-year fallow field and wooded strip
on south side of Deal Creek; on alluvial terrace.
Site #26 (Lat. S^IO'SO"; Long. 82°42,00"), about
3 miles southwest of town of Lowndesville, S. C.,
and about 1.5 miles east of the Savannah River.
Below the 475-ft. contour (full pool for proposed
Russell Lake). Area to be impounded in mid-1980’s
