Habitat
Primary forest on terra firme, mostly level terrain, deeply dissected by a few large streams; canopy open, as is much of understory. Guadua sarcocarpa beginning to dominate again in places approx. 12 years after dieback. Rare.

root-climbing epiphyte. Root-climbing epiphyte 8 m in tree, inflorescences immature, pale green, terminal on drooping plagiotropic branches. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
