In rocky (rhyolite) soil on E-facing slope with Quercus. Garrva.
Rhus & Yucca. Perennials from compact rhizomes with linear-
subulate, strictly concolorous scales; rachises dark brown
throughout, + lustrous, terete, with abundant, short, curly,
appressed hairs adaxially; ultimate segments sparsely villous
along midvein abaxially; spores averaging 60 microns long.
