on road to Granada. Elev. 1500m. Disturbed lower
montane forest. Material preserved in alcohol.
Succulent herb to 25cm, leaves in rosette.
Occasional on ridgetop, usually found at base of a tree
Underside of leaves red-purple. When in bud,
inflorescences recurved at apex, bracts translucent,
buds white. In flower (only one seen), inflorescence
elongating, flowers erect, petals lilac. In fruit
inflorescences elongating further, fruits erect, trigo-
nous .
