Los Rios: Rio Palenque Biological Station, km 56 on Santo
Domingo to Quevedo road. In front of science centre building,
ca. 30 m down path towards river, 2 m from path, left side,
ca. 00°35’S, 79°20’W.	150-220 m alt.
Small area of remnant primary forest. Steep slope above river.
Tree 25 m x 30 cm. No buttresses (though base of trunk
distinctly wider than bole). Bole 20 m. Bark pale brown, smooth,
fissured vertically; bark 3 mm thick, buff in section. Slash ca. 5
mm thick, pale red-brown streaked with red. Immature fruit
green with small yellow spots. Immature aril white.
