Pichincha: ca. 1.5 km from Pedro Vicente Maldonaldo on road to
Celica. Right side road.
00°05’N, 79°05’W.	ca. 500 m alt.
Isolated tree in pasture, 16 m x 30 cm above buttresses to 50 cm
up trunk, spreading to 1.5 m from trunk. Bark pale brown,
smooth, patched with lichen, with raised lenticels; bark thin, green
in section. Slash distinctly two-layered, first buff, 2 mm thick,
then reddish-brown; inner layer producing red exudate. Flowers
sweetly scented (09.45 hrs). K green-brown; wings and keel pink;
standard green along central fold, this surrounded by pink, the
rest of the petal pale pinkish white.
