Corcovado. ca. 200 m from the start of the trail from Rio
Rincon to Los Patos station.
ca. 8°34’N, 83°31’W.	150 m alt.
Mixed forest on steep slopes and red clay soil.
Small tree 25 m x 50 cm above small buttresses to 50 cm,
spreading to 1.5 m from trunk. Bark brown, quite smooth with
numerous lenticels, ca. 3 mm in section; slash 7 mm, red-brown
streaked with buff, red-brown layers near wood producing red
exudate.
