Mixed forest on gentle slope with palm dominated understorey.
Tree 45 m x 1 m above buttresses to 6 m, spreading to 3 m
from trunk. Bark (of buttresses) brown, Assuring vertically on
angles of buttresses, smoother elsewhere with diagonal markings
and lenticels; slash 4 mm, pale red-brown. Infl. axes 10-30 cm,
green with red-brown indumentum. Bracts and bracteoles red-
brown.
