Heredia: Sarapiqui. Km 11 along road Guapiles - Puerto Viejo,
ca. 10°30’00"N, 83°54,00,,W.	ca. 100 m alt.
Roadside, isolated tree in pasture.
Tree 25 m x 80 cm above buttresses to 1.5 m, spreading to 2 m
from trunk. Bark brown. Leaves to 50 cm long, leaflets to 20
cm x 10 cm. Fruits green-brown, becoming brown when ripe
and dehiscing. Valves to 10 mm thick, quite hard. Aril orange,
flesh white, powdery. Seeds green. Photos.
