Saxifraga oppositifo lia L.
JUNEAU ICEFIELD: On second youngest terminal
moraine in the lower Ptarmigan Valley train.
Elevation approximately 2,550' in relatively
fresh, deep mineral soil with glacial erratics
Pm mostly schistose with granitics. On moraine
ridge top with slight northwest aspect. Oc-
casional, with Luzuia spicata, Salix stoloni-
fera3 Sitene aoaul‘is3 and Festuca braohy-
phylla. Plants range from in fruit to in
flower (with brilliant purple corollas).
Plants strongly mat-forming.
