    Cienga. Surface, when dry, with visible accumulations of salts. Visited by a multitude of insects, other invertabrates, and even hummingbirds. Associated species: Sisyrinchium demissum, Shoernoplectus americanus, Juncus arcticus mexicanus, Muhlenbergia asperifolia, Distichlis spicata, Prosopis velutina, Baccharis sarothroides, Anemposis californica, Eustoma exaltatum, Isocoma tenuisecta, Fraxinus velutina, Sporobolus wrightii, Typha. Locall common - abundant perennial.
