grassland on soils mapped as deep, somewhat poorly drained,
mildly alkaline clay Vertisols (Kaufinan Series), on floodplain
of major stream, just inside W gate of Cowleech Prairie
Preserve, ca. 200 ft. N of Co. Rd. 3128 from a point ca.1.1
roadmiles E of its jet. with US Rt. 69 S of Greenville, at
N33°04'07.0”, W096°00’35.2”. Greenville SE Quadrangle.

Associates included Aster spinosus, Cardiospermum halicacabum, Car ex
