Ellensburg^ on e. side of the canyon, among
basaltic boulders
growing freely interspersed with L.bulbifera
and blossoming simultaneously with it, but
hot crossing with it from all appearances;
inflorescence at first corymbose but soon
elongate; flowers plainly distinguishable from
L-. bulb if era at some distance because of the
nearly pure white petals that are widely
spreading; calyx turbinate-tubular, shaped
almost identically like that of L. bulbifera;
all plants with at least some simple basal
leaves, the rosettes plainly distinguishable
.from those of L. bulbifera with which they
grow interspersed
