Description
Pileus 4-8 cm broad, convex, maturing plano-depressed; margin even, in age becoming slightly striate 2-4 mm inward from the edge; cuticle viscid when wet, dull dry, disc sometimes shiny, glabrous, separable to 1/2-2/3 the radius, brownish hues reminiscentof a filbert, usually 54 brownish Orange, M&P 14A12, 13C12, to 13E9, the disc sometimes darker, to 55 strong Brown, M&P 7L12, sometimes sun bleached in areas as light as M&P 11I4 or roughly 73 pale Orange Yellow; trama thin, to 3 mm at mid-radius, brittle, white, unchanging when injured, with a mild taste and no significant odor. Lamellae to 8 mm broad at mid-radius, rounded in front, adnate to adnexed, close, some basal forking, a few long lamellulae, edges even, brittle, taste mild, pale ochre becoming deep ochre. Stipe 4-8 x 1-3 cm, subequal or enlarging toward the base, dry, glabrous, longitudinally rugulose, whitish with at least half of the surface washed with 5 moderatePink, M&P 3F1, stuffed, becoming hollow, unchanged when brui.
