Blaine County: Lee’s Gulch, ca. 3.5 mi. from
Bellevue town center, ca. 50 m se of Lee’s Gulch
Road, elevation ca. 6240’, T2N R18E SWV4,
NWV4, S4. Nw exposure on ca. 50° slope below
rocky outcrops. Small Pseudotsuga-wooded area
in sage-steppe foothills with Artemisia, Stipa,
Bromus, Chrysothamnus, Arnica, Mertensia, and
Symphoricarpos. Sandy, gravelly soil with much
cobble and debris. About 50 widely scattered
plants. Flowers white, purplish-tinged; plant
dark purplish above.
