Clarkdale.
Just above floodplain below north facing cliffs in shady
area and sandy soil and boulders with Celt is reticulata,
Jurtiperus osteosperma, Fraxinus velutina, Cynodon
dactylon, Berberis haematocarpa, Artemisia ludoviciana,
Marah gilensis, Penstemon pseudospectabilis, Fendlera
rupicola, Bromus rubens, Brornus tectorum, Bromus
diandrus, Vitis arizonica, Boechera perennans, Chorispora
tenella, Purshia stansburianat Populus fremontii, Fraxinus
velutina, Erigeron tracyi, Prosopis velutina, Sapindus
saponaria, Baccharis sarothroldes, Dichelostemma
capitatum subsp. pauciflorum, Artemisia dracunculus,
Forestiera pubescens.
Perennial herb with many decumbent branches spreading
from a single caudex and root; flowers purple with white
throats, banners purple with vertical white stripes; fruits
inflated, single celled, with red splotches; rare in the area a
few individuals locally.
