Rim and bottom of dry clay-lined basin surrounded by
forest of Acacia, Prosopis velutina, Parkinsonia
floribunda, occasional Eucalyptus. Pond is seasonally
flooded though very shallow (as it was in October 2014).
Dominant plants in clay beds are Eryngium
nasturtifolium, Polygonum aviculare, and Verbena
bracteata.
Abundant in clay flats that are seasonally flooded.
Thousands of plants, cover 35-75% in places, especially
cracked, bare clay.
