United States of America. Utah. Washington Co. Colorado Plateau, just north of Arizona state line, west of Honeymoon Trail road, ca. 9 miles south of UT Hwy 59, 12 miles S of Hurricane.

Habitat
Rolling grey gypsum hills with 10% vegetative cover of scattered Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Gutierrezia, Mahonia fremontii, and Artemisia bigelovii. Biological crust cover 50-70%. With Mentzelia memorabilis, Phacelia hiughesii, [see label for full list]. Locally common on gypsum/clay soils.

Description
Low shrubs, mostly less than 2 ft. tall. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Collection Notes
Some plants hedged by browsing. Population extends across state line into Arizona and also in east side of road (though much more sparse). Population estimated at 500-1000 on west side of road, though additional unsurveyed habitat extends to west. Only 15 observed on east side of road.
