  • Description

    Wild species cultivated. Plant 1 yr. 6 months old. Stem: color ext. brownish gray, 10 YR 3/1, color subepidermis-green. Color int. white. Leaf dark yellowish green, bud color 10 GY 4/5, moderate reddish brown, petiole color 7.5 R 3/6. Roof: surface condition rough, color ext. dark brown, color cortex-white, color subepid. white. Fls. sometimes hermaphroditic, but predominantly unisexual, mas. predominant. Perianth brilliant yellow green, (2.5 GY 9/8). Disc of fem. and mas. fls. brilliant yellow (5 Y 9/9). Root withrough epidermis and with the same construction as of M. esculenta, but the cortex woody and hard. Single imature fruit slightly winged. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
