Chorro Creek Drainage above Chorro Reservoir. Vicinity of type locality of Cirsium fontinale var. obispoense (Chorro Creek bog thistle). Grassy hillsides with springs and flowing creeks. Serpentenite parent material. Part of site within fenced exclosure. 720-840 ft. elev. Local in drainage swales. Petals purple.
