Rounded shrub, 1.5-2 feet high.
Santa Barbara County: Santa Cruz Island. Along lower
part of road on E side of Scorpion Canyon, near top
of grade above mouth of canyon. Locally common;
NW-facing slope; SCI Volcanics; Coastal Scrub.
Elevation: 250 feet.
Associated species: Malacothrix saxatilis implicata,
Artemisia californica, Coreopsis gigantea, Foeniculum
vulgare, Eriogonum grande, Hordeum californicum,
H. murinum, Avena fatua, Poly podium calif ornicum.
