Obscura Peak, 70 air km SE of Socorro, SW comer S25 T6S R5E. Elev.
2380m, W edge of peak.
Limestone, shallow rocky soil over rock at cliff edge, with
Juniperus monosperma, some Pinus edulis, Thelesperma, Bouteloua.
Perianth pink-lavender; in this population are small plants with
stems ca. 10-15 cm long, densely glandular, others with stems 0.5 m long
or more, + glabrous, and intermediate conditions (3 plants in collection
representing this range).
