slope in large open grassy area, with
mesquite.
plants gray-green, stems erect,, about
8 dm, high, from a strong taproot about
1 cm. dia.; perianth white, about 2 cm.
wide, shading to pale maroon in center;
lobes deeply notched, the notches be-
tween the lobes about 7 mm deep, the
notches on the lobes about 5 mm. deep;
filaments very pale pink, anthers
yellow; faintly jasmine-scented.
