Other Notes I The fall rains of 1939 "brought the sand
Verbenas into bloom so that by late November this
region was a great mass of color. As a result, by
this time (March) the plants were maturing and an
abundant crop of seeds produced. These were easily
gathered by lifting the trailing stems aside and
carefully scraping up the layer of seeds and leaves.
