Lake Sugema Wildlife Management Area is approximately 4 miles southwest
of Keosauqua and on the Southern Iowa Drift Plain. Diodia teres occurs on a
moderate, south-facing slope in a large old field (former crop that has been
fallow for years) south of an arm of the artificial lake. There are 200+ genets
with lavender flowers plus fruits. Diodia teres is associated with Asclepias
hirtella. Chamaecrista fasciculata. Euthamia araminifolia. Monarda fistulosa.
Poa compressa. Polvaala sanauinea. Potentilla simplex. Prunella vulgaris.
Pvcnanthemum tenuifolium. Solidago canadensis and Solidago nemoralis.
