Dear Mr Small:
The Chiococca flowers
at Edison place are pale yellow or
creamy and reddish purple,not white
and purple. The tube mostly purple,
except at base,or pale yellow on the
flat part(between the angles) angles
purple. Small lobes pale yellow with
a purple border on top,purple with a
narrow yellow border below.
Calyx very dark,purple-lbrown,nearly
black.
Peduncles,pedicels and stems mostly
dark purple,leaves blotched dull green
and purple.I have seen them where the
leaves were all purple below,
leaf runs down on petiole at base.
They have a large shrubby plant in
Edison garden with silvery silky leaves,
may be conocarpus erecta but I never
saw it with all silvery leaves.Say they
got it on Sanibel Island,
sincerely,
