Location
Canada. Newfoundland and Labrador. South end of Avalon Peninsula. St. Shotts, 2.0 km west of junction of St. Shotts Road on Hwy. 10.

Habitat
Extensive blanket bog on shallow peat, with peat erosion channels and small streams eroded to acidic glacial till. Dominant plants include Spagnum imbricatum, S. flavocomans, S. rubellum, Rhacomitrium lanuginosum, Carex exilis, C. oligosperma, Juniperus communis, Empetrum nigrum, Vaccinium vitis-idaea, Cladonia boryi, Cetraria nivalis, and Cladonia uncialis. Fontinalis in streams.
