Please send me your set of oolor plates of Florida Iris, to-
gether with the diseriptions of the same* Growing on my lake front are
seven or eight different colors of iris. Two white ones# a blue one that
ift almost whit#, and several blues and purple« One of the blues is appar-
ently a true savannarum* The pod of oneof the blues has only a single ra
row of seed to eaoh cell. One of the whites is entirely, in the other the
three smaller floral envelopes are pale lavender«
Enclosed is a plant * would to have determined« I have run it down to
Gomphrena in your manual, but can find nothing in the genus that is satis*
factory*
