Herbarium of the University of Florida Gainesville. Florida 32611 U.S.A. PLANTS OF FLORIDA Froelichia floridana (Nutt.) Moq. ALACHUA COUNTY: S of Gainesville. Levy Grant Lot 9, NW 1/4, close to NE 1/4. Beside Visitor Center parking lot, in open area bordered by Quercus hemispherica, Q. virginiana. Growing with Prunus umbellata, Opuntia humifusa, in grey sandy soil. Herbaceous perennial with several stems 1-1.5 m tall; collection of 2 stems, without root. Flowers cottony-white, with some red.
