Vegetation: grass paramo with some shrubby pockets.
Muliple-stemmed shrub, 3 - 4 m x 10 cm diam., bark grey; Leaves
membraaaceus, disHdorous, dark gre® glossy above, paler and dull
below; main veins on lower face prominent, reddish purple; calyces pale
green, petals white, style, stigma and filaments white, anthers pale
yellow. Local in shruuby pocket by streamlet.
