Description
Pileus 5-8 cm broad, plane, with areolate flattened black scales. Interior white, staining reddish orange then black. Tubes depressed around stipe, up to 2 cm deep, black, pores up to 2 mm broad, black. Stipe 6-15 cm long, 1-1.5 cm broad, equal, curved, black, alveolate reticulate under gray floccose veil remains, with interior white, staining as in pileus, solid. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
