Description
Pileus 4.5 - 9 cm broad, dry, with coarse, black, pyramidal scales with white context showing through. Context white, staining red then black. Tubes white then gray then black, staining red then black. Stipe white, shaggy-alveolate, eventually darkening with age, tough and fibrous. Staining red then black. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
