7,1933* Apothecia up to 15 mm. diam often splitting when old, and
not quite as deep. Stipes varying in length according to depth of
submergence but usually not much over 30 mra. Favm colored with the
hymenium slightly darker but the whole becoming light colored when
drying in the field. Eymenium often having a folded surface. Asci
long clavate 113-140 1 8.5. Paraphyses slightly enlarged toward the
tip,sometimes irregularly. Spores i-seriate,oval,2.5-12-5 x 5.b-b.2,
finely granular within. Very abundant on a single isolated willow
which shows much killing in a vacant lot. Picture being sent and
three packets of the material.Apparently not a common species.
