POMONA COLLEGE HERBARIUM T. & Gr. 03351209 Oenothera elata HBK subsp. hirsutissima (A. Gray ex Wats.) Dietrich Predominantly erect pubescent! Determined by W- strich 1981 Missouri Botanical Garden /Univ. of Düsseldorf Oenothera Hookeri 3 plants, erect, 1.5m. tall, with cent- ral stem developed; 1 plant with green- ish stems, 2 with red, all soft strig- soe hirsute; leaves slightly crisped; hypanthium and sepals green; petals pale 4.5 cm. long; stigma greenish yellow. Grown at Claremont, Calif, from 1934 seed taken by P.A. Munz at Mataguey Creek, Volcan Mts., San Diego Co., Cal. Coll. by P.A. Munz no. 14178 July 1/36. 03351209
