Channahon 7.5' quad., T.34 N., R. 9 E., W/2, SE/4, SW/4, SE/4 sect. 15. Channahon; Joliet Army Training Center, 'Area 3', N of Arsenal Road at old building foundations, E of oil refinery and Des Plaines River, N side of levee along inlet, vicinity of gravel pit. Elev. ca. 530 ft. "Study Site 13A". Partly cleared dolomite 'pavement'; loamy organic-rich clay 2-10 cm deep. Degraded dolomite prairie, with Bromus inermis, Setaria viridis, Daucus carota, Opuntia humifusa, Poa pratensis. Occasional annual herb in colonies, local at margins of exposed dolomite 'pavement'.
