Jonesville, Butte County, alt. 1550 m.
On bare spots, wet at least in spring; dwarfed if dry now,
freely branched and up to 10 cm. tall if wet.
With decrease in altitude, down to 600 m., plants apparently
like these in other respects, become more and more viscid-pubescent,
as is supposed to be characteristic of this species.
