Description
Several clumps are present at this site. Plants sterile, erect, to 4 m. or a little more tall, basal diameter to 2.3 cm. Culm leaves extending to next node or a little beyond. Blade of culm leaves erect, persistent, relatively large, slightly cordate. Lower nodes with central branch developing, as robust as the main culm, with several, erect subsidiary branches also developing, these often substantial. Branching intravaginal, sheaths splitting. Internodes 18-22 cm. long. Band of white wax below the node on new shoots. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
