Shrub; leaves small; flowers borne underneath the leaf
axil?, circular, yellowish green.
n.v.: Chin-chin-pol (Evil eye plant) [Maya],
USE: Charm against "evil eye" in babies {leaves}. Evil eye detected in
babay "if one is smaller than the other, the lips are red, the
baby is thirsty, and the feces are green". Bathe baby for 3days
w/ decoction. Also give to drink for 3x daily til stool is no
longer green. The position of the flower indicates this usage.
Medicament for green feces in baby {leaves}. Prepare decoction.
Bathe baby with it for 3 days. Also give to drink 3x daily for
3 days until stool is no longer green.
