Ada Hayden Herbarium Iowa State University Flora of Iowa Ludwiaia peploides (HBK.) Raven Davis County: Prairie Township T68N R12W Section 15 NW4 NE4 NW4 SW4 UTM (15T, NAD27): 564893 East, 4504385 North A 1 + acre, rectangular artificial pond is located about 40 meters north of State Highway 2 and about 2.3 miles east/southeast of Pulaski. The pond is on the Southern Iowa Drift Plain. Ludwiaia peploides. with flowers and green fruits, is abundant on the edge of the pond. Flowers have 5 yellow petals and are on top of the ramets. Fruits are more common than flowers, but many ramets have at least one flower. Erect ramets with flowers and fruits appear to be rooted in mud.
