On cut-over portion of floodplain along Savannah
River. Site #5 (Lat. 34o02'55"; Long. 82036f39"),
ca. 2.5 miles south of the S. C. 72 bridge over
the Savannah River. Below the 475-ft. contour
(full pool for proposed Russell Lake). Area to
be impounded in the mid-1980's by U. S. Army Corps
of Engineers.
