No. 8287, collected May 18, near the Sierra foothills on the
rising plain west of Bishop, Inyo county, in coarse granite sand,
the plants scattered and never plentiful at any one place. This
species, with its irregular, almost bilabiate corolla, seems distinct
generically from L. setosissima, although the habit and general
appearance is much the same. The type was collected at“ Camp
Independence, Inyo County, California.”
