Herb. 4: 153- 1 ^93- No. 8287, collected May 18, near the Sierra foothills on the rising plain west of Bishop, Inyo county, in coarse granite sand, the plants scattered and never plentiful at any one place. This species, with its irregular, almost bilabiate corolla, seems distinct generically from L. setosissima, although the habit and general appearance is much the same.
