03326705 03326705 Li 1*, LepTODACTYIX)n patens Heller, Muhlenbergia, is 146. 1906; Gilia pungens var. squarrosa Gray, Proc. Am. Acad. 8: 267. 1870; not Gilia squarrosa H. & A. No. 8292, collected May 21, in the first canyon in the Si- erra foothills south of Bishop, Inyo county, in coarse graniti sand about rocks, and plentiful there. The flowers are white* fading pinkish or purplish, especially along the outre edge of the petals. The corollas are 2 cm. long, the slender tube 1 cm. long, the open flower about 15 mm. across, the petals cuneate- obovate, somewhat unequal in width, 5 or 6 mm. wide aero# the rounded or truncate slightly eroded apex. Referred hete with considerable doubt.
