Caranda.
Undulating sandy plain, mostly cleared for cattle
ranching with areas of forest relics. Abundant in one
locality. Open swampy hollow on poorly draining sand
dominated by grasses and sedges. Alt. 500 m.
Slenderly tufted perennial with stems to 75 cm.
Spikelets pale straw-brown.
