Santa Clara county,^Elevation 600 feet, growing on the creek
bank about rocks in partly shaded places. It is the only form
K in the foothills about Los Gatos on the opposite side of the Santa
J Clara yalley, arid is quite distinct froin^ S. californfca in its
brighter gil^n. color, more pointed and saliently toothed leaves,
more ^anic^ifate branched inflorescence, and smaller, shorter
y markon flcw/ers.
