6200*. Long, narrow, open meadows dominated
by Carex aquatilis, C. rostrata,
Calamagrostis canadensis, and other Carex
spp., surrounded by forest dominated by Pinus
contorta and few trees of Picea engelmanii on
granitic substrate. Some parts of meadow
also dominated by clumps (5-10 sq. meter) of
Salix spp. that grow to 1.5 m high.
Abundance: common on saturated substrate with
some moss accumulation in areas dominated by
C. aquatilis.
